Role description: Helps to ensure stable and well-performing Oracle solutions that meet business demand. Role accountabilities: As a Python developer of microservices and other automations on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure(OCI), your core accountability is building secure, stable, scalable, cloud-native, documented applications. This Involves managing application lifecycles, source code repositories, performing code reviews, thorough testing, and development of deployment packages and mechanisms. This includes creating and maintaining secure connections to other services within the OCI platform. Individual accountabilities The developer does all this while managing resource tuning, pipeline automation, observability, incident response, bug tracking, and security reviews. Collaboration * Proactively engages with Key Business Users to receive feedback, gauge satisfaction with system integrations, and address issues or concerns. * Collaborates with OTE Application & Extension Manager to gather requirements and prioritize data transformation projects. * Collaborates with OTE Team to deliver efficient and well-run processes. Application & Extension Services * Design and implement microservices with well-defined interfaces and modular architecture. * Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code that supports scalability and performance. * Administer and manage Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting. * Develop and integrate services with Oracle technologies such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS). * Automate CI/CD pipelines and manage service lifecycle using DevOps tools. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate services into enterprise systems. * Maintain technical documentation for services, APIs, and infrastructure components. Vendor Management * Coordinates with 3rd parties who provide support for product enhancements, upgrades, patches and application monitoring. Key shared accountabilities * Partnership with other Technical Towers, Lanes, and teams to achieve goals and exceed business expectations * Partnership with Data Tower * Oracle SOP and KBA development with OTE team * Oracle service disruptions announcements and EU communications with OTE team * Release Management with OEA teams and Tech CAB Qualifications & Experience: * Minimum of 5 years experience developing cloud-based microservices, at least 2 of which with Oracle Cloud application services. * 2 years of experience in containers (Dockers and/or Kubernetes) * Demonstrated experience successfully planning and implementing Cloud application services in a global company with a multi-national, multi-vendor environment. * Proven track record of achieving service excellence, including maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams with internal and external resources. * Skills * Required: * Python, Oracle Python SDK, Oracle Database 12c & 19c Development, Oracle Kubernetes Engine, Oracle Object Storage, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, API development and authentication strategies, proper error handling * Recommended: * Document management (merging different document types, sftp, understanding of Fusion products, Message queue handling, Why Arcadis We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
