Position: Principal Software Systems Engineer Cloud Networking Domain: Cloud Networking and Orchestration Experience Level: 12+ Years Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/MS/M.Tech or equivalent in CS/EEE/ECE About the Role We are seeking an accomplished Principal Software Systems Engineer to drive the development of our Network Automation and Orchestration products. In this strategic technical leadership role, you will own the end-to-end design and development of cloud networking solutions, mentor technical teams, and establish best-in-class engineering practices. Your expertise in microservices, containerization, and cloud-native development will be instrumental in shaping the future of Extreme's cloud networking platform. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
