This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for defining engineering strategy, mentoring senior engineers, and building cloud-native distributed systems integrated with modern AI technologies. The ideal candidate combines deep backend engineering expertise with practical experience building production AI/LLM applications. Responsibilities You Will Define long-term technical architecture and engineering roadmap. Lead the design of highly scalable distributed systems. Establish engineering best practices across architecture, coding, testing, security, and DevOps. Drive technical decisions across multiple teams. Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers. Review critical architecture and design proposals. Lead performance optimization and system reliability initiatives. Design microservices-based architectures. Build high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs. Design event-driven systems using Kafka or similar messaging platforms. Develop scalable data processing pipelines. Optimize databases for high throughput and low latency. Ensure high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery. Build production-grade AI applications using LLMs. Design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures. Develop AI agents and workflow automation. Implement vector search and semantic retrieval. Integrate foundation models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or open-source models. Evaluate AI model quality, latency, and cost. Implement guardrails, prompt engineering, and AI observability. Build AI APIs and inference services. You Must Have Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. 1218+ years of software engineering experience. 5+ years leading architecture for large-scale backend systems. Experience leading engineering teams across multiple products. Strong system design and distributed systems expertise. Experience building AI-enabled enterprise applications. .
