Position: Lead HFT Infrastructure Engineer Location: Kolkata Working Days: Monday to Friday Experience Required: 10+ Years Client: High Frequency Trading firm Your Role This is a leadership role within our software and infrastructure development team. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the infrastructure, execution environment, and security stack for our HFT operations in the crypto markets. You will lead a team of talented engineers and work closely with other stakeholders to ensure the success of our trading strategies. The successful candidate must have strong leadership skills, be resourceful, and be willing to tackle multiple challenges. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Demonstrating exceptional proficiency in programming languages by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code for trading applications, and collaborating with the engineering team to ensure code quality and reliability Developing, maintaining, and optimizing a high performance, high frequency, low latency trading system architecture and infrastructure Designing and implementing scalable solutions to handle large volumes of crypto market data and execute orders with minimal latency Collaborating closely with trading and quant research teams to understand and support their strategies and technology requirements Developing a strong backtesting platform for evaluating and refining trading strategies, and translating these strategies into technical requirements and solutions Overseeing the design and deployment of server infrastructure for trading execution operations Implementing and managing execution strategies to optimize order routing and execution in crypto markets Building and managing data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze real time market data, with an emphasis on data quality assurance and anomaly detection Implementing data storage and retrieval solutions that enable efficient historical data analysis and backtesting of trading strategies Developing and maintaining robust security measures to protect our trading infrastructure and assets, while staying up to date with the latest security threats and implementing best practices through regular security audits and vulnerability assessments Building, leading, and inspiring a high performing and accountable team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and delivering complex projects Researching and implementing productivity, communication, and privacy tools to enhance workflows Serving as a controller for cloud and other IT services Our Needs Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field At least 10+ years of proven experience in high frequency trading environments, preferably in crypto markets Exceptional programming skills and proficiency in C++ and / or Rust Strong expertise in system design, architecture, and low latency trading systems Solid understanding of network protocols and trading infrastructure Exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, exchanges, and trading APIs is a plus .
