Note - Please apply with external profile. We are seeking an expert Generative AI Engineer to architect and build the next generation of autonomous AI solutions at Ford. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development a robust ecosystem of reusable, agentic AI services that will drive innovation across the company. You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying sophisticated AI agents using cutting-edge technologies like LangChain, LangGraph, and the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK). This is a role for a hands-on builder and strategic thinker who is passionate about solving real-world industrial challenges. Serve as the technical lead for the designing and implementing a scalable architecture for modular, reusable AI components and services. Design and build advanced, multi-agent systems using frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph to automate complex business workflows and reasoning tasks. Lead the entire lifecycle of AI projects, from translating high-level business needs into well-defined technical problems to deploying and maintaining enterprise-grade agentic solutions in our cloud environment. Partner with IT, PRE, and business teams to ensure the seamless deployment, integration, and operational success of AI/ML solutions within the broader software architecture. Apply advanced analytical solutions (including machine learning and statistical models), and conduct analysis that consists of problem formulation, data extraction and pre-processing, modeling, validation, ongoing work, and presentations. Work with high-volume, high-dimensional structured and unstructured data from a variety of sources and implement algorithms to identify anomalies, relationships, and trends Develop complete system designs that include data, pre-processing, modeling, optimization, post-processing and interfaces for user interaction. Interpret and present complex modeling results, system designs, and strategic recommendations to technical peers, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering degree or a related field of study 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, or a data-focused role. 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions using languages like Python, PySpark, or Scala. 1+ years of direct, hands-on experience building solutions with Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain), or related Generative AI technologies. Proficiency with SQL and experience engineering data from diverse, high-volume sources. Even better, you may have. MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field Demonstrated success applying ML and AI to solve real-world industrial problems with large-scale data. Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices within an agile development environment. Excellent programming skills, particularly interface development to generate data visualizations and to extract insights from large complex data sets. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with proven abilities to communicate complex topics to leaders and peers in a simple, clear, plan- oriented manner A self-starter mentality, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects forward with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in an environment where problems are not always well-defined. .
