This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 10 - 25 LPA) Min Experience: 3+ years Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, Hyderabad, Telangana, India JobType: full-time We are looking for a skilled Validation Engineer with 3-8 years of experience in virtualization platform validation, system testing, and infrastructure verification. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Citrix XenServer and hypervisor technologies, with hands-on experience validating enterprise virtualization environments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, scalability, and stability of virtualization platforms through comprehensive validation strategies, automation, and defect analysis. You will work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and product engineering teams to validate new features, identify issues, and improve the overall quality of virtualization solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality enterprise software. Requirements Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute validation plans for virtualization platforms based on Citrix XenServerValidate hypervisor functionality, performance, scalability, availability, and security across enterprise environmentsDevelop and execute functional, regression, integration, stress, and performance test casesCreate automated validation suites to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effortsIdentify, reproduce, analyze, and document software defects while working closely with engineering teams to drive timely resolutionValidate system upgrades, patches, firmware updates, and new feature releasesPerform compatibility testing across hardware platforms, storage systems, and networking componentsMonitor virtualization infrastructure and analyze system logs to troubleshoot complex technical issuesParticipate in root cause analysis for customer-reported issues and validate fixes before production releasesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve validation methodologies, automation frameworks, and release qualityMaintain detailed validation reports, test documentation, and quality metricsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize testing processes and infrastructure validation Must-Have Skills Strong hands-on experience with Citrix XenServer administration and validationSolid understanding of Hypervisor architecture, virtualization concepts, and virtual machine lifecycleExperience validating virtualization platforms in enterprise environmentsKnowledge of virtualization networking, storage integration, and resource managementExperience with Linux operating systems and shell scriptingStrong understanding of system-level testing methodologies and validation processesFamiliarity with automation scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languagesExperience with defect tracking tools and test management platformsExcellent debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilities Good-to-Have Skills Experience with other hypervisors such as VMware ESXi, KVM, or Microsoft Hyper-VKnowledge of virtualization security and hardening best practicesFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExperience with container technologies including Docker and KubernetesExposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated validation frameworksUnderstanding of storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and distributed storageKnowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, virtual switches, and software-defined networkingExperience with monitoring and logging toolsFamiliarity with Agile and DevOps development methodologies Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field3-8 years of experience in virtualization validation, infrastructure testing, or systems engineeringRelevant certifications in Citrix, virtualization, Linux, or cloud technologies are an added advantage What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is passionate about building reliable virtualization platforms and enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges.
