About the Company The National Sales Manager - Ventilation Division is responsible for managing and enhancing the sales of the company. He/she will have national responsibility and manages the sales team across the country. The reporting line is to the Managing Director Sales. The National Sales Manager acts in line with the global strategy of the German parent company as well as the APAC regional goals. About the Role The ideal candidate holds a masters degree in a technical field, ideally electrical or mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification. Additional training in a business-related field is desirable. A demonstrable affinity for technical products is a prerequisite. Good experience from Chillers, Air purifiers, HVAC, Pumps and selling to consultants sets him/her apart. An MBA is preferred. Experience in OEM Sales. Responsibilities - Determine turnover and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results - Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing as well as new products and market segments - Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans - Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies - Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed - Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal target, aligning with company sales policies and strategies - Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI targets are met - Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition - Trust-based collaboration with management Qualifications Several years of experience in managing sales teams in Indian entities which produce products that require technical explanation. Maintaining existing customer relationships and acquiring new customers in an established market environment, while monitoring the market and evaluating new market opportunities and product applications. Evidence of relevant achievements in a leadership role and in managing employees. Possesses strong business acumen. Possesses IT skills typical for the role. Preferred Skills The candidate is an experienced leader with a hands-on mentality, demonstrating absolute loyalty and honesty toward the employer, equipped with good judgment, a strong drive for success, and the ability to think in complex contexts, coupled with the willingness to actively drive business. The candidate possesses authority, but also empathy, intercultural experience, and a sense of community with a demonstrable understanding of intercultural dynamics. Decisiveness combined with entrepreneurial, structured, and scaling-oriented thinking, along with strong systematic implementation and execution skills, a high sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate are essential. A high degree of independence and initiative, as well as a positive attitude toward work and life, distinguish the candidate. .
