JD: Frappe/ERPNext Developer Role Description We Are looking for a Frappe Developer (ERPNext) to work on the development, customization, and maintenance of ERPNext-based systems across finance, operations, and business workflows. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on development , module customization, automation, and integration support using the Frappe Framework and ERPNext . You will collaborate closely with senior developers, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable ERP solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. ERPNext Module Development & Customization Implement and customize ERPNext modules such as: Accounting Sales & Purchase CRM HR (core workflows) Projects Inventory / Stock Configure DocTypes, naming series, permissions, and workflows as per business requirements. Support accurate mapping between operational workflows and accounting entries (invoices, payment entries, journal entries). 2. Frappe Framework Development Develop custom features using the Frappe Framework , following clean and maintainable coding practices. Create and maintain: Custom DocTypes and Child Tables Workflows and approval systems Server-side scripts, validations, and automation rules Implement business logic using Doc Events, Hooks, and Background Jobs . Develop and customize Print Formats and templates. 3. Reports, Dashboards & Automation Build and maintain: Script Reports and Query Reports Dashboards and operational KPIs Automate common workflows such as: Invoice and payment entry creation Approval-based processes Scheduled jobs, notifications, and reminders 4. Integrations & API Support Assist in building and maintaining integrations with external systems such as: Payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay orders, payments, webhooks) KYC or document verification platforms (e.g., DigiO) Implement and consume REST APIs for internal systems and frontend/mobile applications. Handle webhook processing, data validation, and error handling under guidance. 5. Performance, Security & Production Support Follow best practices for: Role-based permissions and access control Secure API usage and credential handling Help optimize queries and improve application performance. Support debugging, bug fixes, and production issue resolution. Assist with ERPNext upgrades, patches, and deployments. 6. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with senior developers, product managers, finance, and operations teams. Participate in code reviews and follow Git-based development workflows. Maintain technical documentation for features, integrations, and workflows. Required Qualifications 23 years of hands-on experience with Frappe Framework and ERPNext . Strong proficiency in Python and ERPNext development patterns. Working experience with ERPNext modules, especially Accounting, Sales, and Purchase . Good understanding of MariaDB / MySQL and basic query optimization. Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and webhook handling. Familiarity with ERP workflows, approvals, and reporting concepts. Experience using Git and structured development workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take ownership of tasks. Preferred Skills (Good to Have) Exposure to Razorpay or other payment gateway integrations. Exposure to DigiO or similar KYC/eSign platforms. Experience with finance automation (Payment Entry, Journal Entry workflows). Basic knowledge of ERPNext hosting or deployment environments. Familiarity with Frappe Cloud, AWS, or GCP . Awareness of Docker-based deployments.
