A Snapshot of Your Day As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you will work closely with Corporate Commodity Managers and suppliers to develop supplier capabilities, strengthen quality standards, and support procurement strategies for critical rotating equipment and auxiliary systems. You will play a key role in ensuring a reliable, capable, and cost-effective supply base while driving supplier development initiatives across India, China, and global markets. Working with cross-functional and international teams, you will support supplier qualification, product and process validation, and continuous improvement activities to ensure high-quality project execution. How Youll Make An Impact Support commodity strategies by identifying, assessing, and developing suppliers for products such as valves, liquid & gas supply systems, heat exchangers, and third-party packaging activities.Lead supplier qualification, capability assessment audits, and Product & Process Qualification (PPQ) activities to ensure compliance with quality and performance requirements.Drive supplier development initiatives, resolve critical technical issues, and promote the adoption of new technologies and best practices.Lead and collaborate with a distributed team of Supply Quality Engineers, fostering knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement.Monitor project milestones, budgets, and resource requirements while supporting cross-functional procurement and quality objectives. What You Bring Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.Experience in Supplier Quality Management, Procurement, and supplier development for industrial products and systems.Proven experience in supplier qualification, product/process qualification, and technical supplier development.Ability to lead projects and work effectively with global, cross-functional, and virtual teams.Strong understanding of quality assurance, supplier auditing, and continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
