Job Description Cloud Engineer (Azure / OCI) Location: Fully Remote (India) Client: UK / Ireland Utility Sector) Experience - 10+ years Employment Type: FullTime Contract or Permanent with DYNE IT Services Working Hours: UK Timezone from 9 AM to 6 PM Role Purpose The Cloud Azure/OCI Engineer will design, implement, secure, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Operating remotely from India, the engineer will collaborate daily with UK/IRL project teams, ensuring cloud solutions are robust, compliant, and aligned with utilityscale architectural standards. The role supports multiple project phases, from design through service transition. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Engineering Design, configure, and maintain Azure and OCI cloud environments for large utility-scale workloads. Build and manage cloud resources including compute instances, resource groups, storage, networking, identity, and integration configurations. Ensure Azure Active Directory (AAD) is correctly configured and integrated across all cloud solutions. Implement and manage Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM) for secure access governance. Lead Azure networking and firewall design, including VNets, NSGs, routing, firewalls, VPN/ExpressRoute, and hybrid connectivity. Security, Compliance & Governance Apply cloud security best practices across identity, access, networking, encryption, and monitoring. Ensure compliance with UK/IRL utility-sector governance, regulatory requirements, and cloud security frameworks. Support secure onboarding of new cloud workloads and applications. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide expert-level troubleshooting across Azure and OCI platforms, resolving complex technical and functional issues. Support service transition activities, ensuring new solutions are stable, documented, and operationally ready. Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth handover and long-term supportability. Project Collaboration Collaborate with Client Team and IT Teams throughout design, build, testing, deployment, and transition phases. Provide technical guidance, solution recommendations, and risk assessments during project planning. Participate in architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical governance forums. Provisioning & Automation Provision cloud resources including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and integration endpoints. Automate provisioning using ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell, CLI, or OCI Resource Manager. Maintain documentation, runbooks, and configuration baselines. Required Experience & Skills Technical Experience 10+ years hands-on experience delivering Azure and/or OCI cloud solutions within large enterprise or utility environments. Strong understanding of cloud architecture, multi-cloud environments, and hybrid cloud integration. Deep expertise in Azure Active Directory (AAD) Azure PIM Azure Networking & Firewall Design Azure IaaS & PaaS services Oracle OCI compute, networking, IAM, storage Experience with automation tools (Terraform, ARM, PowerShell, CLI). Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, OCI Monitoring). Soft Skills Excellent communication skills for working with UK/IRL project managers and technical teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in complex multi-cloud environments. Ability to work independently in a fully remote model while maintaining high-quality output. Experience supporting service transition and operational readiness. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred). Azure certifications (AZ104, AZ305, AZ500) highly desirable. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
