Review and code all documents for inpatient encounters, including surgeries, tests and diagnosis. Apply codes, which classify patient cases into groups that are used for reimbursement. Code records in a timely manner to meet billing cycles and hospital deadlines. Ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. Communicating with clinical staff. Keeping abreast of industry standards.
