Role Overview Architect for Skyhigh Hybrid As an Architect for a Skyhigh Security Engineering, you are responsible for defining end to end solutions / business offerings / products to meet the functional and non-functional requirements, while ensuring the design is costed, delivered to specification, and can be operated. It is your role as an Architect to ensure that all elements of the solution are delivered, including the business, application, technology layers while complying to information and security requirements and provision an operational service by directing the domain and functional experts within each of these domains. Architects will have responsibility spanning across multiple product domains within a product group, or a significantly complex domain, while also having consideration of dependencies and interworking across multiple product groups. Role Requirements Leads the development of systems architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas in the Network and Web Security domainDevelops and maintains design of large or complex systems, undertaking risk and impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs balancing functional and non-functional requirementsProvides advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly. Provides advice / guidance / expertise to review and improve usage and application of standards, methods and tools. Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large / complex initiatives.Carries out risk assessment within a defined functional or technical area of business and coordinates the development of countermeasures and contingency plansSupports market monitoring and assessment of emerging technologies to evaluate potential impacts, threats and opportunities, sharing knowledge and contributing to developing the RoadmapContributes to development of systems design policies and standards and selection of architecture componentsAssists project managers, functional managers or team leaders in planning the quality management, practices and organisational standards for their area of responsibilit General Background And Core Experience Required 12-15+ years of professional work experience in the Network Security industryDemonstrable experience in technical delivery with a proven record in undertaking design and architecture activities for Network Security solutions with intimate knowledge of core TCP/IP protocols10+ years of hands-on development experience in various languages, middleware and database technologies and frameworksStrong working knowledge of AI ecosystem (Agentic AI, LLMs, MCPs, etc.) and hands on experience with AI development toolsStrong experience in core computer architecture, Kubernetes or other container orchestration frameworks and toolingStrong knowledge and experience of On-prem virtualisation and Public Cloud/SaaS platformsDemonstrable experience in design methodology (e.g. UML)Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning, with a self-motivated drive for results. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail. Demonstrates initiative and self-confidence, is adaptable, and is able to cope with changing and evolving .
