Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to ensure smooth and reliable data flow across systems Develop scalable, efficient data models and architect storage solutions that support analytical and operational needs Integrate diverse data sourcesincluding APIs, databases, and cloud servicesfor seamless and automated data ingestion Optimize database structures and finetune queries to maximize data processing performance and efficiency Implement data validation, cleansing, and monitoring practices to uphold high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and reliability Manage and optimize data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloudbased storage environments Establish monitoring systems, logging, and alert mechanisms to ensure system reliability and quickly address datarelated issues Requirements Bachelors or masters degree in information technology or comparable More than 4 years of professional experience in the area of Data Engineering and Modelling Extensive handson experience with Microsoft BI tools, including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS in Visual Studio, as well as Power BI Familiarity with advanced analytics using Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and the Power BI Service is a strong advantage Proficient in SQL, MDX, and DAX; working knowledge of Python is a plus Proficient in GitHub, including version control, CI/CD workflows, and collaborative development Knowledge in administrative tasks and technologies (ServerAdministration, ActiveDirectory) .

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
