Director / Sr. Director / Manager Data Engineering (+ Analytics + ADMS) Reporting To: CEO End Customers: USA & Europe Domains (End Clients): Energy & Utilities (Power, Utilities, Renewables, Smart Grid) OR Automotive / Transportation (OEMs, Tier-1 Suppliers, Mobility, Logistics) Location: Bangalore (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Practice Head / Director Data Engineering (+ Analytics + ADMS) to build and scale our Data Engineering, Analytics, and Application Development & Maintenance Services (ADMS) practice. The role requires strong leadership combined with deep technical expertise in modern data platforms, cloud, and digital engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale solutions for international clients. The ideal candidate will bring 1824 years of experience across Data Engineering, Analytics, Cloud, and ADMS, with strong exposure to Energy & Utilities or Automotive / Transportation domains. This role combines delivery ownership, presales leadership, and P&L; responsibility, reporting directly to the CEO. The leader is expected to grow the practice into a large, sustainable business over 23 years, aligned with the organizations strategic goals, culture, and values. Key Responsibilities 1. Technology & Data Leadership - Lead Data Engineering, Analytics, and ADMS solutions for global clients. - Guide architecture and delivery of: - Data pipelines (ETL/ELT), data lakes, data warehouses - Analytics, dashboards, and reporting - Exposure to AI/ML and advanced analytics is an advantage - Strong understanding of Python, SQL, Java/Scala and modern data frameworks. - Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Data Platforms on AWS / Azure / GCP. - Promote best practices such as Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, and DataOps. 2. Delivery Leadership - Own end-to-end delivery of Data Engineering, Analytics, and ADMS programs. - Manage large offshore and onsite teams across geographies. - Ensure quality delivery, SLA adherence, security, and business outcomes. - Establish delivery governance, reporting, and client communication. - Apply estimation techniques and continuous improvement practices. 3. Practice & Capability Development - Build and scale Data Engineering & Analytics capabilities. - Define reusable frameworks, accelerators, and best practices. - Upskill teams on data platforms, cloud-native engineering, and analytics. - Standardize delivery processes and documentation. 4. People & Talent Leadership - Drive hiring and capability building for Data Engineering and Analytics teams. - Develop strong delivery and technical leaders. - Own performance management, learning, and team development. - Mentor and coach senior team members. Key Requirements - 1520 years of progressive IT experience, with a strong foundation in Data Engineering, Analytics, and ADMS. - Proven experience growing practices from mid-size to large-scale delivery organizations. - Strong domain expertise in Energy & Utilities or Automotive / Transportation. - Hands-on technical background in: - Languages: Python, SQL, Java/Scala - Data Engineering: ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Streaming - Cloud Platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP - Analytics & BI: dashboards, reporting, KPIs - Experience managing large global delivery teams and multiple client engagements. - Strong presales, client management, and stakeholder engagement skills. - High energy, result-oriented, and growth-focused mindset. Preferred Certifications - Cloud Certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP) - Data & Analytics Certifications (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Synapse preferred) - PMP / PRINCE2 / ITIL / Agile / Secure Key Attributes - Proven leadership in Delivery, Client Management, and Practice Growth. - Strong people leadership with mentoring and coaching capabilities. - Ability to manage distributed teams across India, USA, and Europe. - Excellent communication (verbal & written) and executive-level reporting skills. - Strategic thinker with strong execution focus.
