FINANCIAL AND ANALYSIS MANAGER

About the role Professional accounting qualification — ACCA, MICPA, ICAEW, or CPA Australia, with current MIA membership. Minimum 6–8 years post-qualification experience, including hands-on experience converting an entity's financial statements from local GAAP/MPERS to full MFRS (or equivalent IFRS conversion) is essential. Strong working knowledge of MFRS 15 (Revenue), MFRS 16 (Leases), MFRS 112 (Income Taxes), and MFRS 101 (Presentation of Financial Statements). Proven experience preparing a full set of statutory financial statements, including loan/HP schedules, depreciation schedules, and deferred tax computations. Experience leading or closely participating in an accounting system / ERP implementation or migration. Big 4 or mid-tier audit background (article-trained) is a strong advantage, given the technical demands of the MFRS conversion. Prior experience in a multi-branch retail, F&B, healthcare, or aesthetic/wellness services business is preferred. Demonstrated people management experience, having led a team of accounting staff. Advanced Excel skills; experience with cloud accounting platforms and dashboarding tools (e.g. Power BI) an advantage. Key responsibilities Lead the Company's transition from MPERS to full MFRS, including the technical assessment, transition roadmap, and restatement of opening balances and comparatives. Ensure correct recognition of revenue and deferred/unearned revenue under MFRS 15, including estimation of breakage on prepaid treatment packages and unredeemed service credits. Establish and maintain proper accrual-basis accounting throughout the Company's books, in full accordance with the applicable accounting standard, moving away from any cash-basis or ad hoc recognition practices. Own technical accounting positions on MFRS 16 (leases), MFRS 112 (deferred tax), and other areas materially affected by the conversion, in consultation with the Financial Director and external auditors. Prepare and review the full set of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Financial Position, and supporting schedules. Construct and maintain loan and hire-purchase amortisation schedules, interest expense computations, and fixed asset depreciation schedules to statutory standard. Own the month-end and year-end closing process end-to-end, including all balance sheet reconciliations. Develop and implement a formal Group accounting policy manual, covering areas including capital expenditure approval and payment method controls, month-end stock count and reconciliation procedures, and expense recognition and cut-off practices. Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new accounting system / ERP suited to a multi-branch, multi-entity aesthetic and retail business. Lead and develop the existing accounting team, setting clear standards of work and building technical capability.
