Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Regional Industry: Manufacturing Location: Senai, Johor Working Hour: Monday - Friday | 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Core Responsibility: The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the Chief Executive Officer to shape financial strategy, strengthen operational performance, and support long-term business expansion across multiple Asian markets. Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership Develop and execute regional financial strategies aligned with the organization’s growth objectives. Act as a trusted business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing commercial and financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Drive profitability, improve operational performance, and strengthen long-term shareholder value. Lead financial transformation initiatives to improve business efficiency and organizational performance. Financial Planning & Performance Management Oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning process across regional operations. Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting for executive leadership and shareholders. Monitor financial performance through KPIs and recommend strategic actions to enhance business results. Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support investment decisions and business planning. Manufacturing Finance & Operational Excellence Lead financial oversight of manufacturing operations, including product costing, operational expenditure, inventory valuation, and production performance. Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams to improve productivity and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing costs, enhance margins, and strengthen overall business competitiveness. Support commercial pricing strategies through profitability and cost analysis. Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital Develop effective cash flow strategies to support business continuity and expansion. Strengthen working capital performance through improved inventory management, receivables, and payables optimisation. Manage banking relationships, treasury functions, and funding requirements across regional entities. Ensure healthy liquidity while maximizing financial efficiency. Investment & Capital Planning Evaluate capital investment proposals, including automation initiatives, facility expansion, technology upgrades, and strategic projects. Conduct financial feasibility studies and investment analysis to ensure projects deliver sustainable returns. Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and expected business outcomes. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation regulations, statutory requirements, and corporate governance policies across multiple jurisdictions. Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and enterprise risk management practices. Provide oversight on audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Safeguard the organization’s financial integrity and regulatory compliance. Commercial Business Partnering Collaborate with senior leaders across Operations, Sales, Procurement, and Supply Chain to support commercial and operational decision-making. Evaluate strategic initiatives, acquisitions, business expansion opportunities, and major customer contracts from a financial perspective. Deliver actionable financial insights that support sustainable business growth. Leadership & Talent Development Lead and inspire regional finance teams across multiple countries. Build a high-performing finance organization through coaching, succession planning, and capability development. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Champion finance excellence while supporting organizational transformation initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent is highly preferred. Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including extensive exposure in senior leadership or executive-level positions. Strong background within a multinational manufacturing environment preferably from plastic injection/ EMS industry Demonstrated experience overseeing finance functions across multiple countries within the ASIA region Proven track record in financial planning, commercial finance, business partnering, manufacturing finance, treasury, and corporate governance. Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and executive leadership capabilities. Experience leading organizational growth, transformation, operational improvement, or expansion projects will be an added advantage.
