Join Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and help deliver and maintain the road infrastructure that keeps regional Queensland connected. Based in Barcaldine, you'll contribute to projects that support communities, industry and economic growth across Central Queensland while developing your technical and project management expertise. About the role As an Engineer (Civil) within the Delivery and Operations team, you'll support the planning, design, construction and maintenance of state-controlled roads and transport infrastructure. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain exposure to all stages of project delivery, from planning and design through to construction, contract administration and maintenance. You will help deliver projects that improve safety, reliability and connectivity across the region while developing practical engineering skills in a supportive environment. What you'll be doing Assist with the delivery of road infrastructure projects and contract administration activities. Support the management of Road Maintenance Performance Contracts. Contribute to road and bridge maintenance planning and delivery. Analyse engineering data, materials testing results and construction requirements. Conduct risk assessments and support quality and compliance requirements. Provide technical advice on planning, design and project delivery activities. Monitor project outcomes to achieve time, cost, safety and quality objectives. Build effective working relationships with local government, contractors and key stakeholders. About you You're a motivated Civil Engineer who enjoys problem solving, working collaboratively and delivering practical outcomes. You can communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, apply sound engineering judgement and manage competing priorities. To be successful you will have: A four-year Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia. A current Class C driver's licence. An understanding of civil engineering principles and project delivery practices. A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement. Why join TMR?
