Tasks and Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting and finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including SST, corporate tax, e-invoicing and regulatory filings. Monitor and improve financial controls, policies and procedures of the Company; develop and implement SOPs for finance-related processes. Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and audit schedules. Work closely with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on compliance matters. Support budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to enhance financial visibility. Supervise and mentor junior finance team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Liaise with internal departments (sales, procurement, operations, warehouse) to resolve finance-related issues. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior. Qualification and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or MIA membership/eligibility) is preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience in accounting/finance, preferably in trading, manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries. Strong knowledge of MPERS, MFRS and Companies Act. Experience in statutory audit, tax compliance, and liaising with auditors/regulators. Exposure to consolidation of accounts, listed company reporting, or Big 4/medium-tier audit experience will be an added advantage. Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems will be an added advantage. Proficiency in various Microsoft suites is required. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently while supporting the Finance Manager in strategic initiatives.
