About the role We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our finance department, specifically within accounts payable management. As a Finance Executive, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in our accounting records, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our financial processes and contributes directly to the company's financial health and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities Processing and managing accounts payable invoices and payments to ensure timely settlement of vendor obligations Reconciling supplier accounts and investigating discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records Performing data entry and document management tasks with precision and attention to detail Preparing reports and analyses related to accounts payable activities and expenditure Supporting the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures Liaising with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing and payment queries Maintaining organised filing systems and ensuring proper documentation of all financial transactions Assisting with general accounting duties and ad-hoc finance-related projects as required What we're looking for Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting functions within a professional setting Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail with strong organisational skills Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations relevant to the Malaysian business environment Preferred: Certification or progress towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or LCCI What we offer We are committed to providing a rewarding work environment and competitive benefits package.
