Senior Finance Executive

About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Senior Finance Executive to support regional finance and reporting across multiple overseas entities. The role covers full-set accounting, closing, reporting, reconciliations, audit and tax support, and day-to-day accounting matters. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious and proactive - someone who notices when something may need attention, is willing to look into it, and is comfortable discussing possible solutions with the team. Key Responsibilities · Prepare full sets of accounts, journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules for assigned entities. · Support monthly and year-end closing and prepare monthly financial and management reporting schedules. · Review general ledger balances and account movements, look into unusual or inconsistent items and discuss or propose adjustments where needed. · Handle multi-currency, foreign exchange and intercompany transactions and reconciliations. · Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audit, tax and statutory reporting, including VAT/GST filings where applicable. · Liaise with overseas auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers and finance teams. · Ensure accounting records and supporting documents are complete, accurate and properly maintained. · Raise accounting, reporting, reconciliation or process issues and contribute ideas for practical solutions or improvements. · Assist with ad hoc finance, reporting and analysis matters as required. Requirements · Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. · Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit. · Strong accounting fundamentals with hands-on experience in full-set accounts, month-end closing and reconciliations. · Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to investigate issues and suggest possible solutions. · Proactive and resourceful, comfortable asking questions, sharing views and discussing different approaches when something does not look reasonable. · Able to work independently on assigned matters, while seeking guidance or escalating significant or unfamiliar matters when appropriate. · Adaptable and willing to learn, with the ability to manage changing priorities, deadlines and different requirements across overseas markets. · Exposure to multi-currency transactions or overseas entities will be an advantage; VAT, GST or tax filing experience is an added advantage. · Good communication and coordination skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems. · Self-disciplined and comfortable working under a work-from-home arrangement.
