Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director. The CFO will play a key role in overseeing the Group's financial strategy, corporate finance, treasury, project financing, financial performance and investment decisions, while partnering closely with senior management across the Group's property development and related business operations. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversee the Group's Finance, Accounts, Treasury and Corporate Finance functions. Develop and execute the Group's financial strategy to support business growth, investment priorities and long-term sustainability. Provide strategic financial advice to the Group Managing Director, Board of Directors and senior management on business performance, investment, funding and capital allocation decisions. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, cash flow management, treasury and working capital. Lead the Group's banking, financing and capital management activities, including project financing, bridging facilities, refinancing and other funding arrangements. Oversee project feasibility studies, financial evaluations, development costing and profitability analysis to support property development and investment decisions. Lead the preparation and presentation of management financial reports, providing clear insights and recommendations on the Group's financial performance. Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting, taxation, audit and regulatory compliance, including compliance with MFRS, the Companies Act 2016 and applicable Malaysian tax legislation. Strengthen the Group's internal controls, enterprise risk management, corporate governance and financial policies. Lead and maintain effective relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, legal advisors, regulators and other key stakeholders. Drive improvements in financial processes, systems and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency, transparency and decision-making. Lead, develop and mentor the Finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity and high performance. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline . Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA or equivalent is highly preferred. Minimum 15 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role such as CFO, Finance Director, Group Financial Controller or equivalent. Proven experience in property development, construction, real estate or related industries will be an advantage. Strong knowledge of MFRS, Companies Act, Malaysian taxation, corporate governance and regulatory requirements. Strong experience in corporate finance, treasury, project financing, financial planning, budgeting and strategic business planning. Demonstrated ability to evaluate investment opportunities, project feasibility, financial risks and capital allocation decisions. Strong commercial acumen with excellent strategic thinking, analytical, leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the Board, senior management, bankers, auditors, professional advisors and other stakeholders. High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality and sound commercial judgment.
