Finance Operations (FMCG)

About the role We are looking for a detail-oriented Trade Claims Executive to support Finance operations within the FMCG industry. This role focuses on trade claim validation, trade spend monitoring, invoice processing, payment coordination and account reconciliation. You will work closely with Sales, Commercial, Finance, Accounts Payable, customers, distributors and vendors to ensure claims are processed accurately and issues are resolved on time. Key responsibilities Monitor trade claims and trade spending to ensure accuracy and timely resolution Review actual trade spend against approved budgets and promotional plans Identify discrepancies, unusual spending and potential overspending Ensure trade spend is accurately recorded and accrued within the correct accounting period Maintain accurate trade spend information in SAP and relevant systems Review and validate trade and commercial claims before payment Verify invoices, supporting documents, promotion references and approvals Consolidate approved claims and invoices for submission to Accounts Payable Perform monthly Statement of Account (SOA) reconciliations with customers, distributors and vendors Investigate and resolve differences between internal and external records About you Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field 1–3 years of relevant working experience in Trade Claims, Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, Commercial Finance or related functions FMCG industry experience/background is highly preferred Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage Good understanding of invoices, claims, reconciliations and financial documentation Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Good communication and stakeholder management skills Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities Able to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
