Approve or reject applications based on customer profile, income, repayment capacity, credit history and overall risk assessment. Review CCRIS, CTOS, bank statements, income documents and other supporting documents to assess creditworthiness. Evaluate customer and guarantor profiles, financing structure, vehicle value and other relevant risk factors. Handle non-standard or exception cases and determine appropriate risk mitigation measures or escalate cases beyond delegated authority. Ensure all credit decisions comply with company credit policies, approval matrix, SOPs and risk appetite. Work closely with Sales and Admin teams to ensure timely processing and decision making while maintaining credit quality. Monitor approved applications and identify potential credit risks, irregularities or early warning indicators. Provide feedback and recommendations to improve credit policies, approval processes and risk controls. Maintain accurate credit records and ensure all credit decisions are properly documented and supported. Assist in improving credit processes, workflow efficiency and overall credit quality. Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. Job Requirements Must Have Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Banking, Economics or any related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in credit assessment, credit underwriting or hire purchase / auto financing. Hands-on experience in credit approval with delegated authority. Able to independently assess and approve/reject credit applications within the assigned approval limit. Strong understanding of credit assessment, repayment capacity, CCRIS, CTOS and financial documentation. Strong analytical skills, sound credit judgement and attention to detail. Good understanding of credit policies, risk controls and compliance requirements. Able to make timely and commercially sound credit decisions while maintaining appropriate risk discipline. Added Advantage Experience handling exception cases or non-standard credit applications. Experience with credit approval matrix, delegated authority limits or credit policy implementation. Familiarity with automotive dealership, vehicle financing and dealer-related credit processes. Experience with credit workflow systems or digital credit assessment platforms. Experience in improving credit processes or approval turnaround time.
