Operational Finance Senior Manager | Kuala Lumpur, TERA GROUP Company Profile TERA GROUP is a data centre (IDC) platform developer and operator, with investments and operations across Southeast Asia and South America. To support the group’s growth and the build-out of a standardised overseas finance function, we are recruiting an Operational Finance Lead (Senior Manager) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Basic Info • Position: Operational Finance Senior Manager • Work Location: Kuala Lumpur • Reports to: CFO in the interim; Financial Controller when this role is onboarded Core Responsibilities • Own end-to-end transactional finance for the group – purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash, employees expense reimbursements – under one process, one standard and one system, operated from Kuala Lumpur. • Purchase to pay: review of POs raised by departments and matching to contract, work order or variation; invoice receipt and three-way match; coding to entity, project, site and cost category; payment run preparation and supporting file; vendor master data under Controller-approved standards. • Order to cash: customer invoicing against the contract billing schedule; AR ledger, ageing and collections tracking; customer master data; local e-invoicing execution with each market (MyInvois, e-Faktur, e-Tax). • Expense management: employee claims and corporate card administration, policy compliance review, reimbursement runs, and periodic reporting on policy exceptions and spend by entity and cost centre. • Project and capex coding: capture project, building and cost-category dimensions at the point of PO raising and invoice entry so that project cost reporting does not require rework; match contractor invoices to contract value, approved variation orders, payment applications and project-team certification. • Intercompany and close: raise recharges, match intercompany AP/AR and produce the reconciliation; close AP and AR subledgers to the group close calendar. • Act as business owner of the group ERP for transactional finance: specify P2P and O2C workflows and approval nodes, author and run the test cases, complete cutover, then own process design, master data standards, change requests, user access and the defect log. • Support internal and external audit and the group close: provide PBC deliverables for AP, AR and expenses — transaction samples, three-way match evidence, ageing and subledger reconciliation support, master data change logs — and act as first point of contact for auditor queries on transactional finance. • Build and lead the operational finance team and evidence segregation of duties. Support group closing, budget cycles and internal and external audit. Job Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline. ACCA / CPA / MICPA / CIMA preferred. • 15+ years in transactional finance, including direct ownership of AP and AR across multiple entities or multiple countries. • Hands-on business-side ownership of at least one ERP implementation or major module rollout • Capex-heavy sector experience strongly preferred: data centre, construction, infrastructure, energy or manufacturing. Contract-linked payables and project cost coding are central to this role. • Practical, applied exposure to withholding and indirect tax. • Able to document a process clearly enough that a colleague in another country can follow it unaided; comfortable declining a payment that has no PO behind it. • Fluent English (working language). Working Mandarin an advantage. • Rigorous, strong risk awareness, able to work at pace across multiple markets and priorities. Salary & Benefits • Base Salary: RM 22k / month • Bonus: Company standard 0-3 months
