About the Role We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team and support the day-to-day operations of our entities in Malaysia and Singapore. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants broad exposure across accounting, payroll, tax, and finance operations — while working closely with the Financial Controller in a growing business. What You'll Be Doing Management Reporting Maintain accurate accounting records — invoices, payments, journals, payroll, and employee claims Manage monthly payroll processing, statutory deductions, and timely submissions Perform bank reconciliations and manage intercompany transactions, billing, and collections Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and balance sheet reconciliations Handle foreign currency revaluations and support variance analysis with commentary Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring alongside the Financial Controller Ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS and internal accounting policies Compliance, Tax & Controls Prepare and submit indirect tax returns (SST/GST, where applicable) Liaise with external tax agents on corporate tax filings and compliance Support year-end audits and prepare required documentation for auditors Maintain proper records in line with internal control requirements Operational Finance Support Support AP, AR, payroll, employee expenses, and intercompany processes Contribute to ERP/finance system improvements (NetSuite experience a plus) Spot opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiency Assist the Financial Controller on ad hoc projects and business initiatives What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification 5+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience — we welcome candidates transitioning from audit firms into a commercial role Solid grounding in month-end closing, reconciliations, and management reporting Payroll and statutory compliance experience preferred SST/GST reporting experience and comfort working with external tax agents preferred Exposure to foreign currency transactions, project accounting, or revenue recognition is a bonus ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage Skills That Will Help You Succeed Strong grasp of accounting principles and IFRS/MFRS Confident with Microsoft Excel Comfortable working in accounting/ERP systems (NetSuite a plus) Sharp analytical and problem-solving instincts Accuracy and attention to detail, you can be proud of You'll Thrive Here If You Take ownership and follow through without needing to be chased Stay organised and calm when juggling multiple deadlines Communicate clearly and work well with people across teams Bring a positive, "let's improve this" attitude to your work Enjoy learning and growing your scope as the business grows
