Factory Accounting Manager

Job Description We are seeking a Factory Accounting Manager to own the costing, inventory, and financial reporting framework for our manufacturing plant in Batang Kali. This role tracks what every product costs to produce, controls wastage and cost leakage, and supports intercompany pricing between our manufacturing and trading entities. Reports to the Group Financial Controller. Job Responsibities Establish and maintain standard costing for all manufactured products Cost production/job orders and analyse material, labour, and overhead variances Own inventory records (raw material, WIP, finished goods) and oversee stock counts Deliver factory management accounts and month-end close within Group timetable Drive cost control initiatives — reduce wastage, scrap, and labour overtime cost Maintain intercompany pricing and reconcile intercompany balances monthly Manage fixed asset register and capital expenditure appraisals Handle SST compliance and support auditors on inventory/cost matters Strengthen ERP processes and lead the factory finance team Job Requirements Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, CPA) Minimum 6 years' accounting experience, including 3+ years in manufacturing costing or plant finance Hands-on experience in standard costing, BOM costing, and inventory valuation Working knowledge of MFRS (inventories, PPE, leases, revenue) Experience with SST compliance in a manufacturing setting Strong in ERP systems and Excel Willing to work on the factory floor at Batang Kali Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
