Assistant Vice President, Business Finance

Company description: Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad Job description: Job Responsibilities Support Group Financial Markets ("GFM") in business finance and analytics, regulatory / statistical / management reporting, system support and digital transformation initiatives. Develop / enhance / maintain business performance dashboards, management information ("MI") and analytical reports to support decision-making. Perform data analysis and provide insights on business performance, trends, risks and opportunities. Support data extraction, validation, reconciliation and reporting. Act as a business support partner for treasury system, including system enhancements, user acceptance testing ("UAT") and digital transformation projects. Work closely with stakeholders across GFM, Group Finance, Group Risk, Treasury Operations and IT Support to resolve data and system-related issues. Support the adoption of digital solutions, automation initiatives, AI-enabled tools and process improvement opportunities within GFM. Support and participate in ad hoc requirements and projects, strategic initiatives and other assignments relating to analytics, systems and digital transformation. Education and Experience Professional qualification or degree in Accounting and Finance, Financial Engineering, Data Science and Analytics or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in external audit, banking, financial services, data analytics, business finance / financial planning & analysis ("FP&A"), or related functions. Exposure to financial markets, treasury products or capital market instruments is preferred. Knowledge of Murex system, Power BI, SQL, data analytics, programming, automation tools or AI solutions will be an added advantage. Possess strong analytical, problem-solving and data management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across business and technology functions. Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deliver quality work within timelines. Strong learning agility, curiosity and interest in financial markets, technology and digital innovation.
