Job Summary: The Finance Manager will oversee financial reporting, multi-entity group consolidation, and manufacturing cost accounting. Based in Malaysia (relocating to Rawang in Q3 2027), this leadership role ensures full compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) while managing internal controls, group cash flow, and tax obligations across multiple corporate entities. You will collaborate closely with production, supply chain, and executive leadership to manage standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and inter-company eliminations. Managing a team of accounting professionals, you will deliver consolidated financial reports, strategic budgeting forecasts, and key operational insights to drive business scaling. Job Description: 1. MFRS Financial Reporting & Multi-Entity Consolidation Financial Statements: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) . Group Consolidation: Prepare consolidated Profit & Loss (P&L) and balance sheet statements across multiple entities, managing inter-company balances, transaction eliminations, and standardized accounting policies. Full Spectrum Accounts: Oversee the full set of accounts for all group entities, ensuring accurate general ledger management and reporting consistency. 2. Manufacturing & Product Costing Cost Accounting: Oversee product and standard costing models, inventory valuation schedules, and variance analysis (materials, labor, overheads). Operational Control: Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to monitor raw material usage, factory overheads, and manufacturing expenditures. 3. Financial Governance, Tax & Cash Flow Management Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead financial planning, operational budgeting, and cash flow projections at both individual entity and group consolidated levels. Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Oversee compliance with Sales and Services Tax (SST), corporate income tax, withholding tax, and local statutory filing requirements. External Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, banking partners, and regulatory bodies. Internal Controls: Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk management frameworks, and financial control mechanisms. 4. Team Leadership & Strategic Projects Mentorship: Supervise, train, and mentor finance and accounting team members to maintain high operational standards. Ad-Hoc Initiatives: Support strategic finance initiatives as the business scales, including system implementation/upgrades, new product line feasibility studies, and audit readiness. Requirements: Academic & Professional Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Professional accounting membership or certification ( MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA , or equivalent) is preferred. Professional Tenure: Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including at least 2 to 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. Regulatory & Accounting Knowledge: Strong, demonstrated mastery of MFRS and hands-on expertise in multi-entity group consolidation (inter-company eliminations and workings). Manufacturing Experience: Proven track record in a manufacturing/factory accounting environment (costing, inventory management, production accounting). Exposure to FMCG or consumer goods is an advantage. Accounting Systems: Proficient with accounting software (e.g., SAP, AutoCount, SQL Accounting, or equivalent enterprise systems). Data Analysis: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, with hands-on experience using financial modeling, consolidation templates, and reporting tools.
