We are seeking a hands-on and commercially driven Financial Controller to lead our finance function with a strong focus on project performance and cash flow control. This role goes beyond traditional accounting where you will act as a key business partner to management and project teams, ensuring financial discipline, protecting margins, and enabling strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: (A) Project Finance & Profitability · Oversee financial performance across all active projects · Monitor budget vs actual vs forecast, cost-to-completion, and margins · Identify cost overruns and margin risks, and implement corrective actions · Support tender pricing and commercial evaluation (B) Cash Flow & Working Capital Management · Manage company and project-level cash flow · Optimise billing cycles, collections, and supplier payments · Ensure sufficient liquidity to support ongoing and upcoming projects (C) Financial Reporting & Compliance · Prepare monthly management accounts, project reports, and year-end financial statements · Ensure compliance with MFRS, tax, SST, and e-Invoicing requirements · Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and bankers (D) Financial Planning & Analysis · Lead budgeting and rolling forecasts · Develop financial models for project evaluation and investment decisions · Provide insights on cost optimization, pricing, and business performance (E) Controls, Leadership & Growth Support · Establish and enforce financial SOPs and internal controls · Ensure audit readiness and financial integrity · Lead and develop the finance team · Support banking and project financing activities · Contribute to business growth planning Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CA) or MIA membership is preferred 6–10 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role Experience in project-based environment (EPCC / construction / engineering / infrastructure) is highly preferred Strong understanding of project costing, cash flow management, and financial performance tracking. Strong analytical and commercially driven with strong problem-solving skills Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, project driven environment Strong communication skills with ability to engage effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders High integrity and strong sense of accountability
