Apply today and join a team that makes a difference! Job Description: Responding to work orders for repairs in county parks, involving carpentry, painting, concrete work, and irrigation. Assisting other staff in routine or corrective maintenance projects. Perform scheduled playground inspections. Responsible for managing materials, multiple work orders, purchasing cards, and maintaining county equipment. Evaluate, communicate, and complete maintenance on potential playground issues. Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Provided with this position: Tools, full uniform, steel-toed shoes, all necessary safety equipment (PPE), phone stipend, County-issued vehicle, and laptop while at work. About You Minimum Qualifications: A High School Diploma or its equivalent Two (2) years of experience in maintenance A valid Driver’s License at the time of hire National Recreation Parks Association (NRPA) Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification or ability to obtain one within one (1) year of employment Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of minor construction, power tools, or handyman experience. Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years. About Everything Else Starting Pay: $17.18 (Step 1) Position Salary Range: $17.18 (Step 1) - $25.24 (Step 14)
