Perform maintenance and repair work on infrastructure, mechanical equipment, and public facilities. Assist public service workers with tasks related to streets, sidewalks, trails, water distribution, storm and sanitary sewers, and other city assets. This is a seasonal, full-time position working up to 40 hours a week that will run from March - November. Standard hours are Monday - Friday from 6:30a.m. - 2:30p.m. Occasionally hours may include nights and weekends based on maintenance needs. This posting will be open until filled. Work independently with minimal supervision. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure utilities operate smoothly, infrastructure systems function efficiently, and facilities remain in good condition. Routine maintenance tasks may include: Cleaning sanitary and storm sewer lines Catch basin and manhole repair Building maintenance (cleaning, painting, landscape, mowing), Assist with Gopher State One utility locates Flushing hydrants Exercising water valves Other maintenance duties as assigned. Valid driver’s license Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. One year of related experience.
