What You Will Do No two days are exactly the same in CDOT maintenance. Your daily work activities change based on project needs and also vary based on weather. Your main job activities include: Assist in the maintenance of the rest area and roadside appearance, including mowing, weeding, fertilizing, and tree trimming; Repair and paint picnic tables; Repair irrigation systems; Maintain lighting; Ensure cleanliness of restrooms; Sweep around buildings, sidewalks, and trailers; Empty trash cans and maintain smoking area; Level ground where there are washouts; Assist with the remodeling of offices, additions to buildings, and new construction; Assist with maintenance of key and lock systems; Assist in the installation/repair of roofs and garage doors; Assist with the installation and repair of concrete; Perform minor plumbing installations and repair; Assist with the installation and repair of water heaters, HVAC, boilers, circulating pumps, and thermostats; Perform snow removal in parking lots and sidewalks; Respond during snow events to perform duties; Assist in road closures and traffic control; <li dir="ltr" style="col
