Your role In this position, you will be responsible for proactive identification of issues in production environment leveraging observability tools with the aim of reducing MTTD and MTTR. Responsibilities Manage and support NetScout and Cisco Network Packet Broker infrastructure. Ensure continuous traffic feed to monitoring, analytics, SIEM, and APM tools. Monitor network performance and identify traffic anomalies. Understand and troubleshoot telecom signaling flows. Analyze traffic across EPC/Core Network components. Configure and troubleshoot routing and switching environments. Support firewall, filtering, and load-balancing configurations. Handle traffic aggregation and GRE tunnel termination scenarios. Perform impact analysis for infrastructure changes. Incident & Service Request Management Resolve production incidents and service requests. Support 24x7 on-call operations. Participate in root cause analysis and problem management. Coordinate with telecom operations teams and OEM vendors. Operational Excellence Prepare and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation. Participate in change management and release activities. Ensure service availability and SLA compliance for Gold-tier services SLA & KPI reporting Onsite – Offshore coordination Flexibility to work in 24 X 7 environment Required Configuration of Traffic aggregation, Filtering rules, Load balancing, Tool port management, Packet deduplication, TAP/SPAN integration Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, VLAN, MPLS, VXLAN. Routing and Switching concepts (OSPF, BGP, STP, LACP) Experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, and packet-level troubleshooting Python scripting, Ansible, REST API integration, Network automation concepts. Hands-on experience with: NetScout nGenius Packet Flow Switch (PFS) OR Cisco Nexus Data Broker (NDB) Certification – CCNA, CCNP (Routing and Switching) Personal Qualifications Besides the professional qualifications, we respect and place equal importance to the candidate’s personality which facilitates success in customer environments. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
