Job Description: AI Engineer (Agentic AI/ Generative AI on Amethyst Platform) Position Details Position Name: AI Engineer Job Profile The AI Agent Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing autonomous AI agents and advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to automate complex, multi-step corporate workflows. This role bridges the gap between state-of-the-art Large Language Model (LLM) research and production-grade business applications, building resilient, goal-oriented systems capable of self-correction, tool-calling, and state management across distributed cloud environments. Responsibilities Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) Agentic Development & Workflow Automation Design and deploy autonomous AI agents on our Amethyst platform using frameworks like AWS SDK, LangChain, Lang Graph, coupled with enterprise Cloud services (AWS). Orchestrate and automate complex, multi-step business workflows that transition traditional deterministic logic into dynamic, agent-driven architectures. Implement robust error-handling, retry mechanisms, and self-correcting behaviours within agent frameworks to handle unexpected edge cases or tool failures. Advanced flows & Tool Integration Integrate advanced agentic reasoning with context-aware pipelines to ground model responses in corporate knowledge bases. Implement seamless tool-calling capabilities (APIs, database execution, web-search, UI automation) to allow agents to interact effectively with internal and external ecosystems. Performance Optimization & State Management Manage and maintain persistent memory and state for asynchronous, long-running agent workflows operating across distributed serverless or containerized environments. Continuous optimization of agent performance through rigorous prompt engineering, Establish comprehensive evaluation benchmarking Contribution to Amethyst platform features development as and if needed Requirements Technical Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in Python and standard machine learning/NLP libraries. Hands-on production experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex). AWS agentic development preferred Proven experience building production-grade RAG architectures and utilizing vector databases. Deep understanding of API development, tool-calling paradigms, and function calling with commercial and open-source models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Llama). Experience 5+ Years experience in Mumbai
