What you'll do Our Cloud Platform and Services (CP&S) team is dedicated to building trust and reliability in our technology solutions. We create, maintain, and operate scalable technology and data solutions that provide an exceptional experience for both our internal and external customers. We embrace Agile principles, value DevOps practices, and view infrastructure as code, all while developing an infrastructure that supports our growth and ambitious vision. This requires a collaborative team that can identify, investigate, and implement new technologies to help scale our global business securely. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a supportive role in the implementation, management, support, and maintenance of Docusign’s Cloud & AI infrastructure. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn and have a basic understanding of cloud technologies. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers and other teams to assist in cloud implementations. We prioritize tooling, automation, and infrastructure that simplify the development and management of software and services for our engineering teams. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and willing to learn, while also being open to instruction and feedback. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of DevOps Engineering. Responsibility Assist in the design and implementation of key shared infrastructure components to enhance the availability and scalability of our services Help build tools and automation that support and improve the accessibility of our platform, aiming to increase the productivity of our product teams Participate in on-call support as part of a rotation with other team members Support services throughout their lifecycle by contributing a cross-stack perspective on system design, self-service capabilities, scalability, automation, capacity, and reliability Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 5+ years of experience in software engineering, Cloud operations, DevOps or a similar role Experience working with geographically dispersed teams 3+ years of experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS or Azure) Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD technologies 3+ years of experience programming with Python and Terraform for automation and developing scalable applications Bachelor’s in computer science or relevant experience Preferred In depth and hands-on experience working with AWS or Azure Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate) Experience with container orchestration and management using Kubernetes, along with proficiency in Docker for containerization Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions Strong communication and organizational skills Good understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and securing cloud applications Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
