At Axiell, we are strengthening our Arena team within the LXM division and are looking for a mid‑level Full Stack Developer to help us build and evolve modern software that supports culture, knowledge, and public institutions worldwide. In this role, you will work closely with other developers, architects, product managers, and DevOps to design, develop, and improve applications aligned with both business needs and architectural standards. You’ll be involved throughout the development lifecycle - from refining user stories and technical design to implementation, documentation, and continuous improvement. You’ll act as a reliable technical contributor within the team, solving moderately complex problems, supporting best practices through collaboration and code reviews, and contributing ideas to improve system performance, stability, and long‑term maintainability. While this is not a senior architect role, you will be expected to think beyond individual tickets and understand how your work fits into the broader system landscape. Skills & Competencies Mid‑level Full Stack Developer with solid professional experience Strong backend development experience in Java Frontend experience using React and TypeScript Good understanding of system design, service‑based architectures, and cloud‑based solutions Experience working with non‑functional requirements such as security, performance, accessibility, and test automation Familiarity with GitHub, build pipelines, and DevOps practices Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL is a plus Experience using modern AI coding tools is a strong advantage Fluent in English with the ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and share knowledge within the team Requirements University degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience Approximately 4-5+ years of experience working as a Full Stack Developer Hands‑on experience building and maintaining applications with React and Java Experience contributing to scalable and maintainable frontend architectures, following established patterns and guidelines Practical understanding of component‑based architecture, API‑driven design, and collaboration with backend and platform teams Exposure to cloud environments and modern development workflows Experience integrating or working with AI‑driven features in frontend or full‑stack solutions is considered a plus Why Axiell? At Axiell, you’ll join an international tech organization with a strong purpose - delivering solutions that empower libraries, museums, archives, and cultural institutions around the world. We offer a collaborative environment, modern technologies, and the opportunity to improve your skills while contributing to meaningful products with real societal impact! Ready to apply? Please send us your CV and a cover letter describing your interest in the role, what makes you a strong fit. 👉 Don’t meet every requirement? That’s okay! At Axiell, we value diverse experiences. If you’re excited about the role, we encourage you to apply.

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

144.883Jobs
31.687IN
81%EN

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
