Company Description Aic Isiolo Dispensary is a community-focused health facility serving individuals and families in Isiolo and surrounding areas. The dispensary offers primary health care services with an emphasis on accessible, compassionate, and safe patient care. It supports preventive, curative, and basic emergency services, working closely with local stakeholders to improve community health outcomes. Team members collaborate across clinical and support roles to deliver patient-centered care and health education. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based at Aic Isiolo Dispensary in Isiolo. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis support, treatment administration, and monitoring of patients in accordance with clinical guidelines and facility protocols. Daily responsibilities include taking patient histories and vital signs, administering medications and injections, dressing wounds, assisting with minor procedures, and supporting maternal and child health services where applicable. The nurse will educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, medication use, and follow-up care, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation in patient records. The role also involves collaborating with other healthcare workers, triaging patients, supporting infection prevention and control measures, and participating in quality improvement and community outreach activities as needed. Qualifications Valid Registered Nurse qualification and licensure from the relevant nursing council or regulatory body. Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, basic diagnostics interpretation, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs. Experience in primary care or dispensary settings, including management of common acute and chronic conditions, emergency response, and referral processes. Strong infection prevention and control practices, including safe handling of equipment, adherence to hygiene protocols, and maintenance of a clean clinical environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to maintain accurate medical records, follow clinical guidelines, and manage time and workload in a busy setting. Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory, and patient-centered care, with respect for cultural and community values. Basic computer literacy for recording patient information and accessing clinical resources; additional training in electronic health records is an advantage. Prior experience in rural or resource-limited health facilities is beneficial, as is training in maternal and child health, immunization, or community health nursing.
