About the Role As a Software Engineer 3, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and scaling the distributed systems that power millions of customer interactions every day. You'll work on high-scale backend services, influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and help build reliable, performant, and resilient platforms. What You'll Do Design and build scalable, highly available backend systems and services. Drive technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions. Build resilient microservices capable of handling large-scale production traffic. Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and operational excellence. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to deliver impactful features. Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices. Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence. Take ownership of production systems following a "You Build It, You Own It" mindset. Continuously evaluate new technologies and improve engineering efficiency. What We're Looking For Must Have 5+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Strong experience building backend product applications in high-scale production environments. Excellent programming skills in Golang (preferred). Strong understanding of: Distributed Systems Microservices Architecture Scalability and Performance Engineering RESTful APIs Data Structures & Algorithms Multithreading and Concurrency Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP. Experience working with Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and scripting. Experience designing data models and working with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, Aerospike, or similar technologies. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, or equivalent. Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and Proxies. Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong ownership mindset with experience operating production systems. Good to Have Experience building telecom, CPaaS, contact centre, or communication platforms. Knowledge of cloud telephony and telecom protocols. Experience integrating with SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging platforms. Experience operating large-scale distributed production systems. Exposure to ETL pipelines, event-driven architectures, or streaming systems. Prior experience working in high-growth product startups.
