A pioneering technology company, leading the way in tax compliance software with a cutting-edge data engine, is seeking a talented individual to drive innovation in their data foundation. The Role Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data pipelines on Snowflake and Azure. Architect ingestion and integration patterns across various source systems, applying CDC, batch, and streaming. Establish and maintain transformation frameworks using dbt, defining layering, naming conventions, and ensuring pipelines are version-controlled, tested, and observable. Drive schema governance, data modeling discipline, and manage data lineage, catalog, and metadata. Partner with leadership on the Center of Excellence operating model and technical roadmap for the data platform. Implement and maintain data security, privacy, and compliance controls aligned with SOC 2 Type 2 obligations and AI governance. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 4-7 years of professional data engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership on enterprise-grade data platforms. Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex query authoring, performance tuning, and schema design. Hands-on proficiency with modern data transformation tooling (dbt preferred) and workflow orchestration tooling (Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent). Production experience with Snowflake (warehouse design, RBAC, performance optimization, cost management) and strong working experience with Microsoft Azure data services. Demonstrated experience designing and operating production data pipelines and hands-on experience using AI development assistants. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
