Build the Future of AI. Grow While You Do It We're a global consulting firm with a local team — and we're looking for an AI Engineer in Bogotá who's ready to build cutting-edge agentic AI solutions, work alongside senior experts, and build a technical career with real impact From day one, you'll be doing real work on real projects — designing, building, and validating AI agents that solve concrete business challenges for clients across different industries. You'll also collaborate with BIP teams across the globe on technology transformation engagements powered by AI What You'll Do You'll work hands-on across the AI engineering lifecycle — from designing agent architectures to deploying and validating solutions in production. More specifically: Design, develop, and deploy AI agents using modern frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, and others Build and integrate RAG architectures, including vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval orchestration Configure and deploy cloud services across Azure, AWS, or GCP to support AI solutions in production Develop web interfaces and back-end components that connect AI agents with end users Design and execute agent validation tests, evaluating accuracy, hallucinations, latency, cost, and expected behavior Collaborate with local and global BIP teams on AI-driven technology transformation projects Build sharp, high-impact technical deliverables and presentations for client audiences What We're Looking For Experience & Education 1–3 years of relevant experience Background in Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Data Science, or related fields Advanced English What You Bring Solid understanding of agent architectures, including harness, orchestration, and tool use/function calling Familiarity with reinforcement learning concepts applied to agent optimization; reward shaping, RLHF, or DPO is a plus Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including deployment, service configuration, and basic networking Web development experience across front-end and/or back-end using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar technologies Experience designing tests and validation frameworks for AI agents, including evals, tracing, and quality metrics Experience with Git and version control workflows Strong analytical thinking Business sense — you understand that technology exists to solve a problem, not as an end in itself Clear, confident communication — in the room and in writing Genuine curiosity and a drive to keep learning A team player who also knows how to take ownership of their work What You Get We built our benefits around one idea: if you grow, we grow 🏦 Competitive compensation 📄 Permanent contract 🎯 Discretionary bonus 💆 Annual wellness budget 📚 Up to 50% study sponsorship Where & How Bogotá, Colombia — Hybrid Why BIP We're a global consulting firm with a local team. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
