Global Marketing Director - 7064 Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a new team member as Global Marketing Director – Integrated Biologics Campaigns, for an initial 12 months’ contract based in Basel area, Switzerland. We are seeking a results-driven Director, INB, Campaigns (maternity cover 1 year) to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns within Global Marketing Operations. The role is responsible for scaling and tailoring flagship campaign frameworks to the needs of the business platform, ensuring high-impact activation, operational excellence, and consistent delivery across all channels. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this leader drives brand presence, demand generation, and customer engagement aligned to business priorities. The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on marketing leader who excels at translating business priorities into high-impact, integrated campaigns, driving measurable demand generation while leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment. The position is a senior leadership role in the Marketing Operations team and can have a team of Campaign Manager(s) direct reports. They will be charged with the execution of flagship campaigns critical for the dedicated business platform. Campaign components include but not limited to: - Webinars - Coordination of technical content - Videography and photography - Industry conferences and tradeshows - Client-hosted customer/site events When required, the role will provide up to 20% domestical and international on-site event support to ensure seamless event logistics, attendee engagement, and overall event success for the Client. Under the direction of Global Head of Marketing Operations and other Global Marketing teams, this role will focus on maximizing lead generation and building brand awareness consistent with technology-specific market plans. Content enablement . The role will coordinate with Strategic Marketing to align content and collateral with positioning and campaign intent, gather required input, and manage the internal approval process (including SME, Strategic Marketing, and B&A review). The role ensures materials are finalized, approved, and delivered in a consistent and timely manner. Campaign Calendars: The position is responsible for developing a campaign calendar in Wrike jointly with the key stakeholders in the Business Platforms consisting of awareness / brand build and demand generation activities and communicating the plans to the commercial organization. Campaign Metrics and Budgeting: The Director, Business Platform, Campaigns is responsible for ongoing monitoring of results of campaigns and their components, and continual revisions as warranted jointly agreed with Strategic Marketing, Digital Marketing and Branding & Advertising. Adjustments to campaign construction will be made annually prior to market plan and campaign updates. The position also supports the annual budgeting working with key stakeholders in the Business Platforms based on performance results. Partner management: The role owns the relationships with agency and organization partners across webinars, content, events and videography. provides coordination support The role supports other Global Marketing functions (e.g. Digital Marketing, B&A, etc.) in developing the agency plans according to campaign objectives. Event management: This role is integral to the success of our tradeshow and events program. The candidate will oversee a variety of areas of events tactics, this includes event planning, coordination, execution, and logistics such as: contacting the organizer for sponsorship, booth reservation/setup, delegates registration (incl. internal personnel scheduling), event budgets and shipping logistics, reporting results and post-event follow up. Post and review calendars with commercial teams in the Business Platforms. The role will be fully conversant with Client’s brand standards and support the development and rollout of digital materials and print collateral to Sales. The role ensures all promotional materials—sales presentations, brochures, white papers, and SME content—adhere to brand guidelines across channels. KPI’s include new prospect generation, community build, lead generation, customer meetings and net promoter score (NPS). Consistent with these goals, the position is supporting implementation and training of tools to efficiently capture and classify prospects and leads. Main Responsibilities: Co-develop, execute and monitor Integrated Biologics global marketing campaigns across events, webinars and content initiatives, building awareness, generating leads and driving engagement; excludes Digital Marketing campaigns and channels. Ensure alignment across Strategic Marketing, Sales, Digital Marketing, and Branding & Advertising to deliver consistent, high-quality campaigns on time. Lead/oversee end-to-end execution of events (conferences, tradeshows, customer engagements and site visits), maximizing commercial impact and experience quality. Manage budgets for Marketing Operations channels (events, webinars), ensuring transparency, control and accurate tracking of spending within budget. Drive operational excellence through strong cross-functional collaboration, process optimization and standardization. Support the tactical mix of Integrated Biologics inbound and outbound marketing tactics for campaign execution – (Subject Matter Expert content, webinars, events, videography, thought leadership and content marketing) to reach individual program goals and measurement criteria per campaign and channel. Coordinate with Strategic Marketing to align Integrated Biologics content and collateral with positioning and campaign intent, gather required inputs, and manage the internal approval process (including SME, Strategic Marketing, and B&A review). The Director ensures materials are finalized, approved, and delivered in a consistent and timely manner. Support and coordinate the organization of Integrated Biologics site openings, key customer events, site tours and videography / photography and others as defined working together with internal counterparts and external agencies. Coordinate with Branding & Advertising to implement media plans and messaging working with public relations service providers. Support the team to develop and roll out Standard Operation Procedures. Develop excellent relationships and work in close collaboration with other GM departments and key stakeholders within the Business Platforms. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in marketing communications, event management, and/or project management. Business training or an MBA is an advantage. 7+ years of experience in Marketing Communications, event/tradeshow management, and content marketing within a B2B environment, preferably in the pharma, biotech, or CDMO services industry. Familiarity with key CDMO tradeshows, industry publications, and media networks is an asset. Proven success in developing content and executing integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital content, webinars, events, tradeshows, and other marketing channels. Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, manage external vendors, support budget tracking, and successfully deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
