The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is Hong Kong’s statutory body for promoting Hong Kong’s trade with the world. Its Jakarta Office is inviting applications for the following position: Marketing Manager (on-site position at our Jakarta office) Job Responsibilities To develop and maintain good relationships with key contacts, e.g. governmental officials, representatives of industrial associations and chambers of commerce. To coordinate other colleagues or lead a small team to achieve the goals of important working tasks & projects. To propose new initiatives in order to enhance our promotional effectiveness and efficiency. To monitor latest development of government policy & regulations and collect up to date market intelligence. To monitor development trends of local key MPEs & SOEs with focus on matching them with HK service providers. To promote HK’s trade and service to local governments and enterprises. To promote HK as the trade fair capital. To recruit exhibitors, advertisers and visitors to TDC trade fairs, online platform & mega events. To handle outgoing missions to HK and incoming missions from HK. To give necessary support to HK companies especially SME’s operation in this region. To implement the Council’s promotional activities and other tasks assigned by supervisor. To perform other tasks assigned by Branch Director and render timely assistance to the team if needed. Job Requirements A recognised university degree with at least 8 years solid working experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: trading; exhibition/event organisation; project management; public/corporate relations; or network/relationship building etc. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Marketing Manager Strong interests and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various Hong Kong industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong companies Good command of written and spoken English Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills Mature with superior skills in marketing and communication Proficient in IT applications Remuneration and Benefits Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
