Software Developer – Time & Attendance Description As a Software Developer at QC, you will help design, develop, deploy, and support QC’s timeclock platform. This role works across device software, web applications, backend APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and Oracle HCM. You will collaborate with consultants, clients, and developers to build and improve upon our existing device and infrastructure and help meet new requirements for future clients. Experience More than 4 years of experience in full-stack software development, backend development, cloud engineering, or a related technical role. Technical Expertise Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScriptExperience with React, HTML, and CSS Experience developing REST APIs using Flask or similar Python frameworks Strong working knowledge of SQL and MySQL Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch Experience deploying and supporting applications with Docker and Linux Experience integrating applications with third-party APIs and enterprise systems Familiarity with device software, Raspberry Pi, RFID, NFC, card readers, or similar hardware is preferred Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM, or time and attendance systems is preferred Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience · Experience in production level software development · Ability to solve problems and work independently · Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills · Self-motivated, able to plan work effort and manage tasks · Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team members Responsibilities Perform the following activities for QC’s Timeclock product and client projects: Design, develop, test, and maintain clock applications and infrastructure using React, JavaScript, Python, and Flask Design and optimize MySQL tables, indexes, queries, logging, and data-retention processes for logging and other purposes Deploy and maintain applications using AWS, Docker, and Linux Monitor system performance and troubleshoot device, application, database, networking, and integration issues Develop integrations with Oracle Cloud HCM Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and troubleshooting procedures for both physical devices and backend infrastructure Participate in code reviews and help establish development and quality standards using git and other tools Stay current with relevant AWS, Python, JavaScript, React, database, security, and device-development technologies
