Snowflake Architect - Data Platform Modernization

Job Description: Snowflake Architect - Data Platform Modernization Location: Dallas, TX Anblicks is seeking a Snowflake Architect to drive design, data modeling, and solution strategy for enterprise-scale migrations from legacy data platforms to Snowflake. The role owns medallion architecture design, transformation standards, and cutover-safe migration patterns on some of the largest builds in our portfolio. Key Responsibilities: - Design target-state Snowflake architectures: medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) layering, dbt and orchestration standards, security/RBAC, performance and cost optimization. - Drive data modeling for complex enterprise domains; translate legacy schemas and logic into modern, maintainable designs. - Define migration plans, history back-load and incremental load strategies, validation and reconciliation approaches, and cutover designs. - Lead design reviews and architecture sign-off inputs with client architecture teams. - Guide build teams hands-on; apply AI-assisted and accelerator-driven conversion approaches. - Support parallel-run tolerance definition and Go/No-Go decisions. Qualifications: - 13+ years in data engineering/architecture; 5+ years architecting Snowflake at enterprise scale (SnowPro Advanced level). - Hands-on experience across data platform modernization programs (legacy to modern cloud platforms), including AI-enabled and accelerator-driven delivery, migration planning, data validation and reconciliation strategies, parallel runs, and cutover execution. - Strong dimensional and medallion data modeling; deep dbt-based transformation framework experience. - AWS-native ingestion patterns (Snowpipe, Kinesis) and orchestration (Dagster/Airflow) preferred.
