Role Summary This is a commercial leadership role: the Head of Marketing owns player acquisition economics, brand positioning, and cross-channel execution in a competitive South African iGaming market. Reports to CEO. Full budget accountability. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Performance Marketing ● Define and own the marketing strategy: channel mix, audience segmentation, and go-to-market approach ● Build and manage the performance marketing engine across social, SEO, paid, organic, affiliate, influencers and partnership channels ● Own CAC and LTV targets by channel; build and manage the attribution model ● Develop and manage the affiliate program as a scalable acquisition lever Brand and Campaigns ● Define BetJets brand positioning and maintain consistency across digital and retail ● Lead end-to-end campaign execution aligned with the promotional and CRM calendar ● Ensure all creative and copy comply with South African gambling advertising regulations Budget and ROI ● Own the full marketing budget; allocate with ROI-first logic, not activity logic ● Track and report marketing contribution to revenue across acquisition, reactivation, and retention-adjacent spend ● Defend every Rand spent against commercial outcomes in every leadership review Market Intelligence ● Maintain continuous competitive intelligence across the South African iGaming landscape ● Synthesize market trends and competitor activity into actionable positioning decisions Candidate Profile Non-Negotiable ● 5+ years in performance marketing or growth roles within iGaming, sports betting, or regulated digital consumer sectors ● Proven CAC management across multiple acquisition channels simultaneously ● South African market knowledge: player behavior, regulatory environment, competitive landscape ● Quantitative: can build an attribution model, read a cohort analysis, and challenge a finance assumption High Value ● Prior experience with South African-regulated gambling operators ● Affiliate network relationships and program management at scale ● Familiarity with iGaming CRM platforms and how marketing feeds into retention The Opportunity Significant scope to define the operating model and establish brand standards from a position of real influence. Direct access to leadership, explicit performance expectations, and the autonomy to build something. BetJets is in active growth. The South African iGaming market is expanding fast and the competitive window is real. The person in this role shapes how BetJets acquires, positions, and scales the decisions that will define the brand for years. This is not a maintenance role inside an established function.
