Your Job as an Electrician E&I As an Electrician E&I, you will work on electrical and instrumentation installations throughout the production facility. Your work includes installation, maintenance, modifications and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems and instrumentation. You will work independently as well as together with other E&I professionals, technicians and maintenance specialists. Safety is extremely important. You will work in an industrial process environment where strict procedures and ATEX / Ex requirements apply. Your Responsibilities As an Electrician E&I / Industrial Electrician, your responsibilities include: Installing, connecting and replacing industrial electrical equipment Installing and connecting motors, control panels, switchgear and electrical components Pulling, terminating and connecting power, control and multicore cables Installing and wiring junction boxes Connecting field instrumentation, sensors, transmitters and other E&I equipment Installing and connecting ATEX / Ex-certified equipment Installing Ex cable glands and industrial cable entries Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams and technical documentation Performing electrical maintenance and modifications Identifying and resolving electrical faults Supporting testing and commissioning activities Working safely according to site procedures, VCA requirements and applicable electrical standards Delivering high-quality work in an operational industrial environment About the Project You will work at a large-scale chemical manufacturing facility in Rotterdam Botlek. The site produces specialised chemical materials and intermediate products that are used in a wide range of industrial applications. Production takes place through complex chemical processes involving extensive electrical, instrumentation and process-control systems. Because this is an operational production facility, safety, reliability and technical precision are essential. E&I professionals play an important role in maintaining, modifying and improving the installations that keep the production processes running. The Rotterdam Botlek location provides an excellent working environment for experienced electricians who want to further develop their knowledge of industrial electrical engineering, instrumentation, ATEX installations and process technology. What We're Looking For For this position, we are looking for an experienced Electrician E&I with: MBO Level 3 or 4 in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics or an equivalent European technical qualification At least 3 years of relevant industrial electrical experience Experience as an Electrician E&I, Industrial Electrician, E&I Technician or Electrical Technician Experience in the chemical, petrochemical, process, energy or heavy industrial sector Knowledge of industrial electrical installations Experience with instrumentation is an advantage Experience with ATEX / Ex installations is strongly preferred Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one NEN 3140 certification is an advantage Driving licence (Category B) Good command of English or Dutch Ability to work independently and as part of an international technical team Strong focus on safety, quality and craftsmanship What We Offer Working at InAxtion means more than simply joining your next industrial project.
