Your mission is to develop our global suppliers' capabilities and drive operational excellence to ensure a high-quality, sustainable component supply. You will be a crucial link between suppliers and our internal Sourcing, R&D and Production Quality teams, also playing a role in NPI projects. Responsibilities include conducting supplier audits, driving root cause analysis, and granting final approvals. We are looking for a proactive and systematic problem-solver with experience in supplier quality or manufacturing engineering. You must have deep technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems. Success in this role comes from a solution-oriented attitude, solid collaboration skills, and the drive to own quality from the supplier's factory to the final customer experience. What we're looking for: Work experience in supplier quality, supplier development, or manufacturing engineering from a product-oriented company. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field of Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Production, Quality, or Industrial). Knowledge of quality systems and tools, such as ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, and FMEA. Skills in systematic problem-solving. Solid technical and mechanical aptitude, for example expertise in sheet metal fabrication, precision machining or electrics manufacturing Excellent project management, communication, and influencing skills. Proficient skills in Finnish and in English. We also value: Experience in advanced manufacturing industries, such as automotive. Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certification or experience with DMAIC projects. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
