Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company policy and applicable accounting standards (IFRS). Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payments, and collections. Perform regular bank, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Assist with cash flow monitoring and management. Ensure compliance with statutory tax obligations, including timely filing and payment of VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, and other applicable levies. Support the preparation for internal and external audits, providing schedules and documentation as required. Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations, where required. Support cost accounting and analysis relevant to mining operations, as applicable. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory bodies as needed. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is a strong plus; candidates working towards chartered status will also be considered. A minimum of 4 years’ relevant accounting experience, ideally within a mining or heavy industry/operational environment. Sound working knowledge of IFRS and Ghanaian tax regulations. Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems). Key Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Sound analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet reporting deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
