Assignment Description We are looking for a Laboratory Engineer / Bioprocess Laboratory Engineer What You Will Work On Prepare seed cultures for fermentation trials Prepare cultivation media and handle sterile media and cultures Perform aseptic handling of microorganisms and laboratory materials Operate autoclaves and maintain sterile laboratory conditions Identify microorganisms using microscopy and Gram staining Take samples from bioreactors during pilot-scale fermentation runs Perform UV/Vis spectrophotometry and dry weight measurements Perform SDS-PAGE and basic protein analysis Prepare risk assessments and SOPs Ensure laboratory safety procedures are followed Perform good laboratory practice activities Monitor laboratory environment and maintain laboratory equipment Perform routine laboratory cleaning and maintenance Manage chemical and material stocks Support chemical inventory, registration, and ordering Work according to food safety and hygienic standards What You Bring BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or similar Minimum 5 years of experience from a biotechnical pilot or industrial production facility Experience from biotechnology, bioprocessing, or food production environments Strong knowledge of food safety and hygienic procedures Hands-on experience with aseptic handling techniques Experience with laboratory safety procedures and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Experience with microbiology and fermentation processes Ability to work systematically with laboratory documentation and procedures Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken Willingness to work on-site and occasionally evenings/weekends during pilot trials
