Tech/BE in relevant fields or Post Graduation in Engineering Or Management Reports to: Director, Engineering Supervisory Scope: Team Leads, Design Engineers, Project Coordinators Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with 10-14 years of experience in Telecom Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering, specifically in Fiber and Copper network design and planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, complemented by expertise in project management tools and methodologies. This role will focus on delivering projects on time, highest quality and within budget while ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer requirements. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering (B. Tech/BE) is required, along with proficiency in Esri-based GIS planning tools and design software. The role also owns permitting and right-of-way (ROW) dependencies end-to-end and reviews high-level and low-level (HLD/LLD) engineering designs to ensure permit-ready, on-time deliverables. Key Responsibilities : Lead the planning and design of Fiber and Copper OSP networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Develop comprehensive project plans covering resources, schedules, and budgets. Drive revenue growth by aligning engineering schedules with customer commitments. Monitor financials to ensure cost management aligns with profitability targets. Oversee project timelines to ensure timely completion of design, planning, and final deliverables to the client. Own permitting and right-of-way (ROW) dependencies, including joint-use and make-ready coordination, to keep submissions and construction-readiness on track. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Manage scope changes, ensuring documentation and communication with stakeholders. Act as the primary contact for customers and stakeholders, building strong relationships for successful project delivery. Monitor project performance metrics and conduct audits to ensure quality standards are met, tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery %, budget/cost variance, project efficiency and rework rate. Enhance information flow by implementing process changes and seeking improvements. Handle escalations promptly and manage resource allocation for optimal team performance. Supervise internal design engineering staff, assigning and tracking tasks to maintain delivery timelines, and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders as needed. Collaborate with shared services teams on project objectives and develop training schedules to enhance engineering skills Qualifications: Tech/BE in relevant fields or Post Graduation in Engineering or Management 10-14 years of experience in Telecom OSP Engineering, with a focus on Fiber and Copper networks. Strong hands-on experience with GIS-based planning tools (Esri) and design software (AutoCAD, MapInfo). Proven project management skills in revenue, delivery schedule, and risk management. Excellent customer management and stakeholder engagement abilities. PMP or Equivalent certification is preferred and will be beneficial.
